The SIBC is currently organized into seven different project-based divisions. Each division fulfills the vision of “Peace Through Commerce” by interacting with global companies and organizations. Within each division, members participate in real-world case studies and projects with nationally recognized firms and international non-profits, allowing them to use and expand on the skills acquired in the classroom and learn about the different aspects of international business.
The SIBC's semester-long projects cover a variety of disciplines and feature a comprehensive set of real-world topics. The format of the projects varies by division and can include case studies, financial modeling, business plan creation, market research or strategic marketing. The project groups meet once a week and ultimately present to company representatives in cities such as Chicago, New York, Minneapolis, San Diego and Washington D.C. at the end of the semester.
