The SIBC is currently organized into seven different project-based divisions. Each division fulfills the vision of “Peace Through Commerce” by interacting with global companies and organizations. Within each division, members participate in real-world case studies and projects with nationally recognized firms and international non-profits, allowing them to use and expand on the skills acquired in the classroom and learn about the different aspects of international business. 

The SIBC's semester-long projects cover a variety of disciplines and feature a comprehensive set of real-world topics. The format of the projects varies by division and can include case studies, financial modeling, business plan creation, market research or strategic marketing. The project groups meet once a week with anywhere from 10 to 40 members and present to company representatives in cities such as Chicago, New York, Minneapolis, San Diego and Washington D.C. at the end of the semester.
