As an organization with over 800 active participants each semester, SIBC's success depends greatly on its members. SIBC is open to all students from the University of Notre Dame and St. Mary's College communities, and has been a student-led and student-driven organization since its founding in 1989.
All Students, All Majors
SIBC truly is an organization where students from many diverse fields of study can obtain invaluable research and relational skills, contribute ideas, and experience both personal and professional growth. Our members share two important characteristics: a desire to learn more, and a passion to leverage their knowledge to expand SIBC's vision of Peace through Commerce.
At the beginning of every semester, SIBC holds an All-Council Meeting to educate its members on the opportunities that will be offered in the Council over the coming months. This event takes place in the Dahnke Ballroom, and is followed by division-specific breakout sessions in Debartolo Hall. In these sessions, division directors will have a chance to introduce potential members to their project lineup. If you are a first time or returning member, it is strongly encouraged that you attend these events. More details will be provided over email at the start of the semester.
